SUGAR BLUE NJ BLUES & JAZZ FESTIVAL ![]() TICKETS: $40 Table Seat (P) • $30 Chairs (A) NJ Jazz & Blues Festival tickets available via phone, walk-up orders, or online here. Grammy® Award-winning harmonica virtuoso Sugar Blue and his 5-piece Blues band (guitar, bass, drum, and keyboards) open the 2010 State Theatre’s New Jersey Blues & Jazz Festival! Combining dazzling technique with smoldering expressiveness, Sugar Blue, who has been called the “Charlie Parker of the Harmonica,” has been known to give off enough energy during his awe-inspiring performances to light up several city square blocks!
Blue has played and recorded with some of the best musicians of all-time ranging from Willie Dixon, Stan Getz, and Frank Zappa to Johnny Shines, Bob Dylan, and Prince—he is perhaps best known for his signature riff and solo on the Rolling Stones' hit “Miss You” from their Some Girls album.
