Program includes Jawole Willa Jo Zollar's By Way of the Funk, a new work that harnesses the energy and culture of funk music.
 
Founded in 1970, Philadanco has a legacy of breaking barriers and building bridges across cultural divides, while increasing the appreciation of dance among its many communities. Joan Myers Brown and her 17 dancers are famed for innovative choreography, blending African American-based dance with ballet, jazz, and modern.
